Who else is titted and tatted out?

While all that’s going on, I’m allowing myself to be distracted by the videos of training that the club’s media department have started posting recently.

I love them. They give such an intimate insight into the nature of Pressley’s training methods. Just being able to hear his reaction to the players, the encouragement he offers – you really get a sense of why they’re reacting to him.

Another useful snippet of info I’ve picked up from them is Pressley’s catchphrase -“Aggressive passing” – which is clearly fantastic. For years I’d craved a manager who demands purpose in play and high standards of individual ability. Forcing the players to slam the ball into their teammates is not a bad thing. Fizz it in, trust their touch. Barcelona do it and they’re outrageous.

I’ve attached one of the latest videos which shows a sublime Callum Wilson finish in a 7-a-side game, but it’s the background noise and woofing that really had me gripped. Head over to the club’s official YouTube channel for a wider range including a Carl Baker rasper, and a shooting masterclass from Leon Clarke. It’s great fun.
