The pre-game ramble: Bradford
Morning all. Welcome to my words, recently described as akin to a six-year old's. Enjoy them.
Following a week of Superstore openings, MK Dons ticketing panic, Lamptey Show returns, Blog award pestering and Conor Thomas adulation, I'm just about ready for some football again. I only caught 30 minutes of the AFC Wimbledon game last week, thanks in part to a questionable feed and relentless stream of pop-ups questioning my loin size. Fingers crossed this game will be different.
If we win we could be up to 8th, putting us well on course to enter the play-offs spots by Christmas (which I so boldy predicted to myself a few hours ago). You can't put anything past this bunch at the moment. We're riddled with goals, speed, confidence and charisma. A win today would make it 5 in the row (in all comps). This level of form is unheard of, especially the consecutive element.
Step one in this plan is to defeat Bradford City, a team who have undergone a tremendous resurgence over the last 12 months, following a torrid decade of decline.
Let's have a think about our chances...
