Port Vale

It's finally here. After weeks of grunting, my first match of the season has arrived. My keenness knows no bounds. This is going to be great. Away days are exciting, regardless of the circumstances. I can't think of many occasions when the anticipation hasn't been there, or I'd rather have not gone. Obviously that can all go to shit, but it's the anticipation. There's something special about it. First up for me is newly-promoted Port Vale. If we win, we oust them, if you can believe it. It's not even October and we're looking up to mid-table and heaven forbid, that top ten.
